'73 Association Membership: 55%CAPT Bud Schneeweis Notice my new work phone and e-mail. I moved over to the CGHQ Annex in Arlington, VA to do a little recruiting. You can now reach me there. While the location is great, it also means that I am out of the mainstream HQ gossip and have lost many of the sources I had while over at public affairs. I hope that you all take the hint and keep me in the loop. If I dont get it, you dont read it. Congratulations to Tom Haas for his selection as the next Dean at the Academy. I know the competition was keen and Tom should be proud of his accomplishment. Its a big responsibility, Tom. A lot of responsibility. Influencing all those impressionable minds. It also means that you are now automatically the class reunion coordinator. I hope youre up to that part of the challenge! Congratulations also to Ken Venuto, who moved down to the Commandants office to be the Executive Assistant. He joins a select company of those who held the job recently -- guys named Loy, Herr, Naccara, Casto. Perhaps youve heard of some of them. All famous names from CG history. Good luck Kenny. Mary Jane and I had dinner with Larry and Kathy Hereth recently at a local Mexican restaurant. They look great (before the Mexican food anyway) -- theyre into running had recently completed the Cherry Blossom 10 mile run in Washington. Theyre also enjoying the DC night life. They say they take in all the DC night life thats available before 2130 (9:30 PM to those who have already transitioned). Congratulations to Meagan Boyd, who will attend James Madison University in Virginia this fall. Im sure there are many other sons and daughters who are doing well and moving on to new experiences, but Meagan is the only one I know for sure. Jim Woeppel wrote and says hell be at the 25th. Jims still lawyering out in Seattle. Havent heard from anyone else, but big crowd or small. Im sure well all have a great time. Till next issue.
